Rick has been an active participant in the education community for much of his life. He has seen the financial rewards of the education profession increase significantly over the past decades since he was a teacher and coach at Peters Township School District.

Rick is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education. He also was formerly certified in Chemistry and General Science. He is a retired public school educator and high school basketball coach. He has more than 20 years of experience as a professional educator.
Rick joined Kades-Margolis in 2001 as its Western Regional Sales Manager. Today he continues as a Financial Advisor in Western Pennsylvania. He works with Washington and Allegheny County School District employees and their families, coaching future retirees as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). He is also a Certified in Long-Term Care counselor (CLTC). Rick is a Registered Representative of GWN Securities, Inc., an independent registered broker-dealer.
Rick and his wife, Cherie, are residents of Peters Township in McMurray, Pennsylvania. Cherie is a retired teacher of Keystone Oaks School district. There, she served as the treasurer of her local PSEA affiliate.
Rick and Cherie have four grown children, Kendell, Teal, Brittny and Cori. They are proud grandparents of two grandchildren. Rick also coaches an adult baseball team in the Pittsburgh area and is the coordinator of the annual high school basketball senior all-star game. Each spring this game features graduating players from Washington and Greene county schools. He is also an avid golfer, always in need of new challenges.
