Ken has worked in various management positions including hotel/motel, restaurant, and consumer finance. After earning a Master of Divinity, he was pastor of a church for ten years. He then served as a financial advisor at MetLife where he achieved the distinguished level of Leaders Conference. He returned to serve as a full-time pastor until his recent retirement from pastoral ministry. He is excited to be back in the profession of financial advisor.
In 1976, Ken graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Gerontology, including all areas of the aging process. He received his Masters of Divinity in 1986 from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He completed all classes in the PhD program at Penn State University in Clinical Psychology. Ken is a Registered Principal and an Investment Advisor Representative of GWN Securities, Inc., an independent advisory broker dealer. He also is licensed to offer annuities, life, accident and health insurance.
Ken has lived in Williamsport, PA since 1986. He currently resides with his wife, Janet, who retired from a teaching career in public schools and is now enjoying her PSERS pension every month.
They are proud of their family and are celebrating the joy of their first grandson born in 2014. Ken enjoys travel, golf, and photography. He is also very active in United Churches of Lycoming County where he runs their annual golf tournament, their major fundraiser.
Mr. Weiss recently became the executor of two estates as both his mother and mother in law passed away. Between this very personal experience and some additional continuing education courses he has taken, he has learned much about inheritance and the need to properly plan our estates, no matter how large or small they may be.
