I have been in the investment and financial planning industry for over 30 years, including positions as a professional trader and broker-dealer executive. By far, my most rewarding role has been as a financial advisor to individuals and families.

There are many reasons why that is true, but it’s not all about the numbers.  Understanding what drives a client is key.  Hopes, fears, emotions, and past experiences all play a part.  That is why I encourage open dialogue to understand what’s important to you and then discuss the pros and cons of possible strategies that may help you.

My experience has taught me that “performance-driven” advice and chasing returns can lead to unwanted outcomes.  Instead, I help my clients define their goals and objectives and employ a “purpose-driven” process to guide investment and other financial decisions.  In other words, tailoring individual solutions that match my client’s needs now and in the future. My conversations touch on the right balance between returns necessary to accomplish goals and managing the risk along with those decisions.  In addition, I can also help protect your financial future through insurance products against unexpected events that could “push the train off the tracks” and make it tough on you or those you care about.

I know these conversations are valuable because I have a family myself.  My wife and I grew up in the tri-state area around Pittsburgh, raised three children in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and spent many football weekends in Happy Valley.  We like to say we are Pennsylvania fans in our family!  We love being outdoors golfing, playing tennis (and yes, some pickleball), and hiking with our dogs….often with a glass of wine at the end of the day.  Cheers!
