Rich has been in the investment planning industry for 30 years. His strengths are in helping his planning clients understand the impact of their financial decisions on their quality of life, now and in the future. Using the knowledge he gained by observing and working with professionals who represented various investment firms in the industry, Rich brings a depth of knowledge to each client engagement. His experience allows him to evaluate a client’s unique circumstances, answer questions, and choose solutions that help make life less stressful.

Early in his career, Rich worked 17 years with chief investment officers and portfolio managers at banks, insurance, and mutual fund companies to help them maximize investment returns. Rich also held senior management positions within broker-dealers and investment advisory firms, helping to lead those organizations in an environment that continues to become ever more complicated. With the myriad of products and services available, Rich’s greatest contribution was counseling financial advisors in selecting appropriate solutions for their clients. This part of his career fueled his desire to help families manage their assets more effectively.

Rich joined Kades-Margolis Corporation in 2011, an organization mainly serving the education community as retirement counselors. For over thirty years, Kades-Margolis has been the selected sponsor of the Pennsylvania and Delaware State Education Associations, indicating how much the firm values client relationships.

Rich graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. He also has earned a designation as an AAMS. Rich is a Registered Principal and an Investment Advisor Representative of GWN Securities, Inc., an independent advisory broker-dealer.

Rich and his wife, Sarah, grew up in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia, respectively. With a daughter at Penn State University, a son aiming to join her, and another son getting ready to enter high school, life is never dull! They are active in school, church, youth sports, and other community activities. Rich is an avid golfer. He recharges his batteries hiking and kayaking, and, most of all, he enjoys time with his family.
