Dan Otto, CFP®
Kennett Square, PA
Dan takes a holistic approach to his business – looking at an individual’s financial picture, not just one aspect. He has extensive experience working with public education employees, helping them understand how their pension decisions impact the rest of their financial picture. This area is near and dear to his heart as Dan’s father retired from public education with over 30 years of service. He has seen first-hand the positive impacts a substantial investment plan can have on those who spent their careers helping others.
Dan holds a BS in Finance from Penn State’s Smeal College of Business. He lives with his wife and four children in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Besides watching Penn State football, they enjoy skiing, cooking, and spending time at the beach.
Income Planning
Dan works with retirees and pre-retirees to develop income plans for retirement. Based on the client’s goals, assets, income sources, and needs, he helps them determine a distribution order. These plans also consider Social Security and pension options to help clients determine appropriate options for their particular situation.
Serving Educators
As a Kades-Margolis Financial Professional, Dan has extensive experience working with public education employees, helping them understand how their pension decisions impact the rest of their financial picture. This area is near and dear to his heart as Dan’s father retired from public education with over 30 years of service. He has seen firsthand the positive impacts a strong investment plan can have on those who spent their careers helping others - like his mother, who was a nurse for 40 years.
Investment Planning
As a CFP® professional, Dan is qualified to help individuals and families manage their finances. Often, individuals spend their careers accumulating assets without a specific purpose or plan for those assets. Dan uses his knowledge of investments, taxation, and estate planning to develop a plan for those assets. These plans consider the client’s needs and goals and tax efficiency.
