Dan Otto, CFP®
Kennett Square, PA
Dan takes a holistic approach to his business – looking at an individual’s entire financial picture, not just one aspect or another. Dan works with individuals, families, and small business owners. Dan holds a BS in Finance from Penn State’s Smeal College of Business.
Dan is married to his college sweetheart. They live in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania with their son. Besides watching Penn State football, they enjoy running, cooking, and spending time at the beach.
Dan works with retirees and pre-retirees to develop income plans for retirement. Based upon the clients’ goals, assets, income sources and needs he helps them to determine a distribution order. These plans also look at Social Security and pension options to help clients determine appropriate options for their particular situation.
As a Kades-Margolis Fiancial Advisor, Dan has extensive experience working with employees of public education helping them understand how their pension decisions impact the rest of their financial picture. This area is near and dear to his heart as Dan’s father retired from public education with over 30 years of service. He has seen first hand the positives impacts that a strong investment plan can have on those that spent their careers helping others - like his mother, who was a nurse for 40 years.
As a CFP® professional, Dan is uniquely qualified to help individuals and families put their financial house in order. Often times individuals spend their careers accumulating assets without a specific purposes or plan for those assets. Dan uses his knowledge of investments, taxation, and estate planning to develop a plan for those assets. These plans take into consideration the clients need and goals as well as tax efficiency.
