Mark Malcein is a Certified Financial PlannerTM who partners with public school employees and their families to navigate the complex field of personal finance.  He guides his clients through their Public School Employees’ Retirement System benefits, regularly hosts “How to Retire From Public Education” workshops, and enjoys helping his clients implement and monitor investment solutions.  In his leisure, Mark enjoys the great outdoors, and adventure with his wife Nicole and their three children, Dorothy, Benjamin, and Henry.

Investment Planning

Between 1998 and 2017, the average investor attained a 2.6% annualized return, while the S&P 500 rewarded investors with a 7.2% return.  Why?  An academic study by Dalbar Inc. titled, “20-year annualized returns by asset class (1998 – 2017)” supports investors tend to buy investments at market highs and sell at market lows.

As a CFP professional, Mark guides his clients to understand their planning needs and offers comprehensive investment planning services. Although his focus is investment management related to retirement, Mark also provides brokerage accounts, college savings accounts, and risk management tools, including annuities, life, and long-term care insurance.

Since 1974, the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) has selected Kades-Margolis as the planning partner for 403(b) and 457 retirement planning and investment products and services. Mark prioritizes serving all public school employees, regardless of account size, and considers helping a new employee start their first retirement account one of his most rewarding responsibilities.
